As a research scholar and social entrepreneur with more than a decade of research, monitoring, evaluation and strategy consulting, I specialize in Participatory and Rural Development, Sustainable Development, Biodiversity Conservation, Sustainable Forest Land Management, Land use and Livelihoods, Community Conservation, Gender Participation and Sustainable Resource Management. I focus on environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, sustainable land use management, sustainable forest management, sustainable resource management, food security in tropical forest regions, forest governance in the Congo Basin, nature-based solutions and community integration through the use of alternative participatory approaches, community forest management, agroforestry, community participation and sustainable development in African communities.
Other specific areas include gender participation/inequality, social-ecological impact, community-based conservation, climate change resilience and adaptation in forest communities in Africa and most importantly, integrating Indigenous people and local communities (IP & LCs) in the management and decision making of the biodiversity conservation – land use – sustainable development framework.
